Ola Share Pass is a boon for Techies

Cyberabad’s Financial District is always neglected by the State’s public transport – RTC. Often, buses played are very less nor doesn’t play in the required routes. RTC was very late in introducing routes like 195 (Waverock to Bachupally) leaving the ground to autowallas whose business blossomed by the ‘share’ autos. Also, RTC is playing the buses in long routes when IT employees travel short distances. It is also a reason for employees keeping away from public transport.

In this conditions, the introduction of ‘Share Pass’ by Ola pulled the employees towards Ola from Autos/RTC. Normally, Ola or Uber will be in Peak or Surge pricing during the normal commuting hours of IT employees. By purchasing Ola Share Pass, Users can travel with Normal fares even during peak hours.

The cost to travel from Financial District to KPHB, where most of the techies stay, is just around Rs.80. It costs a total of Rs.160 for a to and fro travel. This is very much less than taking a personal car out or travelling by share autos. This Share Pass feature also helped Ola in beating Uber. Though Uber also have Uber Pool similar to Ola Share, it doesn’t have feature like Share Pass which shields users from peak pricing.

'AP Purse' is just a list of wallets!

When Andhra Pradesh government announced its own Wallet service called AP Purse, there are many expectations built over it. As the state has tech-savvy CM, people thought AP Purse will be a wallet similar to other Wallets like PayTM, Mobikwik etc. But the app, which is in beta, turned out to be a list of other Wallet Services and Bank Apps.

Is AP government planning to upgrade the app into full-fledged app or will it leave it as it is? It seems the app will eventually be developed into a complete wallet app. The App required users to register the mobile numbers to get into the app. If the app won't be developed into a complete independent wallet service then there is no meaning in asking users to register with the mobile numbers. The only good thing about the app in its present state is its logo. The logo is very good looking with Indian Rupee Symbol in it and 'P' over 'P' over 'A' showing as 'APP'urse.

Hope government will make it a true wallet service and the State live up to the reputation of most tech-savvy state.

The AP Purse app can be downloaded here

AP Govt, Please allot lands wisely

The Vellore Institute of technology (VIT) is all set for laying the foundation stone in Amaravati, the Green Field Capital City of Andhra Pradesh. The foundation stone for the campus might be laid at Inavolu on November 3, 2016.

It is good that Andhra government is promoting the education sector in Amaravati by allotting the lands. VIT is already a top class institution and allotting lands to it should be welcomed. As per few media outlets, Amity and SRM University are also interested in opening up campuses in the new Capital City.

Allotting lands to institutions should be done very cautious manner and with stringent rules so that the institutions with business in mind will be filtered out in the selection process. Instead of allotting lands to all whoever want to open a campus, Andhra government should welcome locally top institutions like GITAM etc to nationally top institutions like BITS etc and internationally top schools like Cambridge etc and allot the lands through stringent selection process.

Chandrababu Naidu, during his tenure as CM of Undivided Andhra Pradesh, established top institutions like International Institute of Technology-Hyderabad, Indian School of Business, Nalsar University etc which changed the face of Hyderabad. All the three institutions are now instrumental in driving the start-up culture in Telangana. He should repeat that and try to establish reputed campuses in Amaravati. Let us hope that Chandrababu Naidu repeats it.

Telangana Today - Another 'Cheap' daily?

Just like Namasthe Telanagana newspaper, there is one more newspaper getting launched in English space. It is called 'Telangana Today'. Here is a sly tweet from its editor

So, do we need to say more on what can be expected from the new Daily. It will be 'cheap' like Namasthe Telangana. The actual question is...will it succeed financially.

Andhra Pradesh leads EoDB rankings as on Oct 07

The latest exercise of EoDB rankings seems to be throwing many surprises. There are many states competing for the top rank this year. Most of the states crossed 75% mark in implementing business reforms. As the exercise is nearing the completion, it is going to be nail-biting competition for the top rank. As of today, Andhra Pradesh leads the rankings with 96.67% implementation. Telangana is in the second position with 95.77% implementation.

No money with GHMC & HMDA

There is news coming in various sections of media that once cash-rich GHMC and HMDA are now left with empty coffers. This is the reason, attributed by many analysts, behind the worst roads in Hyderabad. What is surprising is, GHMC and HMDA are left with empty coffers after TRS came to power. What happened suddenly to the cash inflows, that were huge before TRS came into power?

The actual reason is that the erstwhile government in undivided AP, especially from the time of YSR, largely dependent on the income that came from the auction of lands and regularisation schemes in Hyderabad. This income was the sole reason behind the surplus budgets of GHMC/HMDA. After Telangana is formed, the real estate market did not pick up as expected. Though there was some momentum in IT areas, the overall market in Hyderabad has not been satisfactory. Adding to it, the overall Real Estate business in the country has slowed down.

Apart from the above reasons, the wrong decisions of the TRS Government affected the coffers.  TRS took up ambitious projects like Double Bed Room houses for Poor which needs huge budgets allocations. Also, the government decisions to fund loss-making RTC with GHMC money affected the revenues.

Can you understand this Statement?

Telangana Home Minister Narasimha Reddy said that TRS demanded the then State Government to Organise Liberation Day. He went on to add that, TRS just demanded it then but never promised that they would implement it once they come to power.

If they demanded, doesn't that infer that they are for it and implement it if they are in power? If not, why TRS demanded it then?

The lies of KCR

KCR went to Maharashtra to sign a 'historic deal' on Irrigation projects. The word 'Historic' is added by government and no one knows what is so Historic in it. While in Maharashtra, KCR is back to what he is best at - lies and hatred on Andhra.

He said so much of water is getting wasted into Sea. In the next statement he says - Andhra rules intentionally stopped the projects so that Andhra can get water.

If you observe, those two statements are contradictory. If water is getting wasted into Sea, which is true, why would Andhra rulers have to 'intentionally' stop the projects in Telangana?

The truth is that there are many issues with Maharastra and if not properly negotiated, it will be a loss to Telangana and this is where the previous governments did not want to make loss to Undivided AP/Telangana. Now, Telangana government surrendered to Maharashtra government by agreeing to all the demands of Maharashtra.  This is not negotiation as Telangana government says. It is called surrendering.

Telugu 360 article on Eenadu. Lol!!!

Recently Telugu360 published a article which comments on the editorial policy of Eenadu and the news preference given to the news item of Mohan Babu's words on KCR.

The article can be read here  https://www.telugu360.com/mohan-babu-heaps-praise-on-kcr-eenadu-buries-it-in-mini-edition/

Telugu360 should understand that News preference will be given to major events and not to such silly news. When there are major news of PM's speech and in particular PM's reference to Balochistan, naturally, the focus will be on such news. Eenadu gave detailed analysis of the Human Rights violation in Balochistan and PoK in one article and the probable impact on diplomatic relations with different countries in another article.

Also, the news regarding flag hoisting by Two states should be given preference. In such scenario, Mohan Babu's words on KCR doesn't get much significance and that is what Eenadu has done.

KCR neglecting Telangana gods?

"Andhrites neglected even our Gods" said KCR in Jogulamba when he visited to take Pushkaram dip. He went onto say that " For Andhra rulers, Krishna Pushkaralu means Bezawada and Godavari pushkaralu means Rajahmundry".

Saying so, he might be fooling Telangana people who are still in Telangana sentiment. But he can't fool people always.

Let's check the facts in his statement.

Pushkaralu comes once in 12 years. Considering that, Pushkaralu might have come 4-5 times after Andhra Pradesh was formed in 1956. Also, Andhra Pradesh came into Surplus budget only after 2004-2005. It means that Andhra Pradesh was a poorer state before 2004-2005 and there should be least preference to the religious activities.

So, Governments never gave preference to Pushkaralu. The popularity of Pushkaralu for Rajahmundry or Vijayawada came not due to the government encouragement or preferences. As Rajahmundry or Vijayawada are well connected by Roads and Trains under British rule, it is natural that people went to those two places. And thus their popularity with Pushkaralu. There is no such road connectivity or train connectivity in Telangana under Nizam rule.

Ignoring such facts, KCR tries to rake up Telangana Sentiment again and again.

If we consider the 2016 Pushkaralu, it is clear that the arrangements made by Telangana government is much-much inferior to what Andhra government is doing. There are no proper sanitation measures taken up nor there is no proper availability of water in some Pushkar ghats in Telangana.

So, is KCR neglecting Pushkaralu? Or is he incompetent to make arrangements and instead raking up Telangana sentiment again?

Reliance Jio launch not on August 15

There was buzz in social media that Reliance Jio launch is on August 15, 2016. This is a surprise as Official communication from Jio mentions the launch in "next couple of months".

Interestingly, another rumour started spreading in Social media that Reliance Jio postponed the commercial launch to 2017.
The truth is that, in order to Jio to retain the License, it has to launch the commercial operations by December 31, 2016. Else, it stands to lose the pan-India license.

Madhapur transformation into Hitec City, Cyberabad.

The pictures shows the transformation of Madhapur into Hitec City, Cyberabad in a span of 15 years.

And who is responsible for this? No doubt, it is Chandrababu Naidu. The Cybertowers which was constructed in 1998 under his rule was the first step towards the transformation.

BJP's insane logics

You were eating 4 times a day in your family. Suddenly you were thrown out of family and a person who divided your family said he will help you. After you were thrown out of your family, you could eat only two times a day. The person who said he will help you gave the money only for one extra meal. So, you could have only 3 meals per day. You then asked the person about the fourth meal and reminded him of his promise of help. The person said there are many people who couldn't get 2 meals per day and I am giving you third meal and be happy with that. But you were deprived of your fourth meal as promised.

This is the financial state of Andhra Pradesh and BJP is not filling up the revenue deficit nor granting special status as promised. Instead BJP is saying Andhra Pradesh is well off than many states.

Is this justifiable? BJP is clearly cheating the people of Andhra.

Sri City revolution

For the people who missed how Chandrababu Naidu changed the image of Hyderabad and turned it into a top IT destination, here is CBN 2.0, who is repeating the magic now in Andhra. Though this time it is not IT revolution, it is about making Andhra into top manufacturing destination.

Back in 1994-2002, there was euphoria around Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad in particular. IIIT, ISB, Rytubazars, Janmabhoomi, MMTS, Sports stadiums, Hitec City, Hitex, Flyovers, eSeva centres, ICICI Knowledge park, Shamshabad Airport, Financial District etc were buzz words in National Media. Industrialists used to be spellbound in the speed of execution of projects.

Back to 2016, the same buzz is seen among industrialists on the speed of execution of projects in Andhra. There is a significant media coverage on the companies setting up shop in Sri City and  Tamil Nadu and Karnataka losing to Andhra in attracting investments.

Special Status to Andhra Pradesh

There is a resent wide spreading in Andhra Pradesh over the Special Status. This is not merely for the Special Status but can be seen as 'broken promise'.

To put it straight many people don't know what is special status and what are the benefits it is going to bring to the state and how they are going to be benefitted at individual level. What the emotion of an individual is - you promised us and you broke the promise.

In such situation, before the emotion at individual level becomes a mass emotion, the BJP leadership should clearly say what they are going to offer to the state instead of special status and how it is going to be good than special status.

But till date there has nothing been done to the state specially. Whatever BJP leaders are showing to the people of Andhra as the package is nothing special and is generally given to any state. As this point is spreading in social media, people of Andhra started to think beyond Special Status and looking at what BJP has done to the state. They started asking - Does BJP give Railway Zone, funds to Polavaram or funds to Amaravati?

Media channels started pulling out old videos of Modi promising everything to Andhra including special status. Now, with this, damage will be more for BJP.

BJP leadership has brought down the situation from mere Special Status to digging of old videos. Remember, people of AP can throw BJP into Bay of Bengal similar to what they did to Congress.

It is high time for BJP leadership to think above petty politics and do something  really good for the state. People of Andhra will give a thumping majority.

YSRCP's Negative Politics

When you fight for your betterment you will shine. When you fight for the collapse of opposition, you will also perish. Perhaps, YSRCP cadre and fans should thoroughly understand it.

When YSRCP totally became void in Telangana, YSRCP cadre and fans took the side of KCR/TRS and started supporting them even if the policies of KCR/TRS hurt Andhra Pradesh. They celebrated every decision of KCR/TRS which hurt Andhra Pradesh/TDP.

For example, even to this date, YSRCP never questioned on the alleged Phone tapping by Telangana government but they questioned Vote-for-Note episode. While Phone tapping has the consequences of luring the investors from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana, YSRCP chose to attack only on Vote-for-Note episode only to corner TDP. There is no bona fide intention for YSRCP to fight on behalf of Andhra Pradesh.

And coming to Sakshi media, it never questioned KCR's Operation Akarsh of TDP MLAs. Instead it took the opportunity to present to the people that TDP is weakened and cadre don't have any trust on leadership. When the same Operation Akarsh is done by TDP on YSRCP MLAs, Sakshi started preaching the moralities in politics.

It is this attitude of YSRCP Party which will bring it down and eventually gets collapsed. Change your attitude and stick to one policy and work for the benefit of people and state and not for the collapse of your Opposition.
