Will Congress get revived in Andhra Pradesh?

As per the exit polls and mood in the State, TDP is going to form the government in Andhra Pradesh. As per the Ladagapati's exit polls, YSRCP will be limited to only 45-55 Assembly segments. YSRCP can sit in Opposition and can vie for power in 2019 elections. But going by the Narendra Modi's commitment in going after the scamsters and TDP alliance with BJP, it is for sure that the investigation in Jagan's illegal assets cases will be completed fast. And if proved, Jagan will be in jail. With the leader in jail, it will be a tough going for this regional party. Jagan could manage the going when he was in jail last year, by bringing his mother Vijayamma and sister Sharmila into the party. But that was when everyone thought that YSRCP will form the government. With the new political changes and after TDP forms the government, leaders will be moving out of YSRCP and can look to other political parties and for them, Congress will be the only alternative. So, good days are ahead for Congress in Andhra Pradesh.

'The Hindu' in fears

‘The Hindu’ has a leftist inclination – which we all know. Now, it is shamelessly supporting Congress just to oppose BJP. Why can’t it bring up leftist ideologies and compare it with BJP’s ideologies and tell to the readers why Leftist ideology is good. Instead it choose the other way – support the opponent of the opponents i.e. Congress. Its editorial on April 10, 2014 – “Seniors in retreat” indirectly suggests the Congress seniors to leave the sense of despondency and contest in the elections. In the editorial, they shamelessly and blatantly exposed their disinclination towards BJP. The lines from the editorial, reproduced below, proves how they perceive the BJP’s victory.
amid fears of communal forces gaining the upper hand as brought out in opinion polls, senior Congress leaders keeping away from the heat and dust of an electoral contest is most likely to send the wrong signals over an already discounted performance of the UPA government
