Will AP protest Modi's visit on Jan 6, 2019!?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Andhra Pradesh on Jan 6, 2019. The State's BJP unit has planned for a massive public meeting. Though the venue for the meeting is not yet decided, it is likely to be held in Rayalaseema or Uttarandhra regions. Why BJP planning a public meeting in either of the places is well known to the public. The Andhra Pradesh government has already released a Whitepaper on the status of the promises and assurances made in AP Reorg Act. It is well known fact that Centre did not do anything on the bifurcation of institutions that come under Section 9 (89 Institutions) and Section 10 (142 Institutions). Also, the Centre did not implement the Special Category Status nor the Railway Zone. Also, there are reports suggesting that Centre is not keen on accepting the new Rehabilitation package for Polavaram. In this regard, the visit of Prime Minister is raising curiosity. How Modi supports his actions is to be seen.

When Modi visited Tamil Nadu, the people protested his visit over Cauvery issue. All political parties supported the protests there. Will AP people show the same unity? Will the political parties in Andhra show same unity? Going by the tantrums of Janasena and YSRCP, it is mostly unlikely. They do support Modi and want to blame Chandrababu Naidu for the non-implementation of AP ReOrg assurances and promises. Though such actions show that they are opposing the ruling govt in Andhra, it would harm in the long run.

Will Janasena contest in Telangana or support TRS?

We have barely 20 days for Telangana General Elections. All the political parties have almost confirmed on the candidates and getting ready for the nominations. Just when everything seems to be coming to conclusion, Pawan Kalyan announced that they would "think" on contesting the elections.

Initially, Janasena people said they are not focusing on Telangana and will be confined to Andhra Pradesh "for now". But why is a sudden change in their stance considering that they do not even have election symbol?

Political Analysts opine that KCR wants Janasena to contest the elections and thereby split the "settlers" vote and help the TRS party. It is also a widespread opinion that BJP-YSRCP-Janasena together are helping KCR so that they together can defeat TDP in the elections that are due in May 2019. It is evident from the way Pawan Kalyan protects KCR and Sakshi daily, owned by Y S Jagan supports TRS in their write-ups.

In the coming days, we may see open support from Janasena and asking the followers to vote for TRS.
